POPA means POsitive PAssion.
POPA is a new art-movement which brings positivity through it's art. The POPA-ART is defined by bright colours and paintings which should bring happiness to the viewer. Paintings which shows tolerance about other cultures, and people as individuals. The founders of this movement are: Barbara van Druten, Susana López and Soon Ja Terwee. 10% of every sold artwork will be donated to an organization supporting children.

You can vote for the Flair-woman-of-the-year!
The time has arrived! Magazine 'Flair' with the election of eight woman in it, will be in the shops next week! Eight women are portrayed through an interview, and Barbara is one of them! Have a look at www.flaironline.nl. From next week on (week 42) you will find a button giving you the option to vote. All women have initiated great and positive things for the people and world around them, so the choice isn't easy.

 
 
 

Kom & Ko
The artwork of POPA will be exhibited in the gallery of Kom & Ko during November. Kom & Ko is a Dutch company with a special view on bading. The baths and comparable products are art on it's own. POPA will fill the exhibition space with her colourfull art. It will be exiting to see the combination between the two crafts.

Wintersaloon
The artwork of POPA and several other artists can be viewed in the Wintersaloon, from the 10th till the 31st of December. The exhibition will take place in a beautifull church, the theme will be: 'Living with each other' (or: 'no more individualism'). The opening will take place on the 10th of December, at 15.30 o'clock.

Atelier Artistiek
The announcement is early, but, Atelier Artistiek presents POPA in an exhibition during February and March 2006. Atelier Artistiek is an artgallery in Oisterwijk, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands. Wendie Brauckman, artist and POPA-friend is the owner of the gallery and invited POPA for an exhibition. The opening times and other information can be found on her website (look above).

 

Artroute 2005.
The artroute through Leiden was a big success. 400 visited the RAP architectcentre! Of course people could have a look at the POPA-stand, with the art of Susana, Soon Ja and Barbara, but they could also look at the art of Inge Reisberman, Michelle Dujardin and Eva de Visser. Unicef took part in the event through the POPA-stand. The exhibition will continue till late October. Have a look at an article concerning the exhibition.
