Paintings which shows tolerance about other cultures, and people as individuals. Flair-woman-of-the-year?
A while ago, Barbara was approached by Dutch magazine 'Flair' with the great news that she was nominated as 'Flair-woman-of-the-year! This because of the results made by POPA and their positive art! In Flair 42 (October), eight nominees will be introduced through an interview and a photoshoot. From this week on, you can vote online! Just go to www.flaironline.nl! All nominated women have done great things for different people in this world, so the choice will be difficult. We are very enthusiastic though that POPA seems to have a great impact on the world as well.

Festival Sea of Dreams
In the week of the 15th of August, a festival called Sea of Dreams took place in Den Helder, the Netherlands. As opening-act, a caravan was put upsidedown. The thought behind this was: 'follow your passion and your dreams, even if it means it will turn your world upsidedown'. The 'dream-caravan' became part of a POPA-project for children. The children could express themselves for several days on the caravan and create their dreamworld. The workshop was given under guidance of Soon Ja.

Radio Rijnmond (Rotterdam)
Radio Rijnmond had an interview with POPA, with the workshop above as subject. Soon the interview will be published on our website.

Morskring
POPA had a special project on primary school the Morskring in Leiden, one week after Sea of Dreams. Because of a new building which is part of the school, a canvas of 2 by 3 meters was created and painted by pupils of the Morskring. The canvas fills up the entire wall in the hall of the new building, so it was a challenge for POPA to have a nice final result! The children loved working on a canvas of these measurements. The workshop was guided by Barbara. See a fragment of the result below.

Artroute 2005.
