Elegance
POPA made a great start in the new year. Besides the attention of the
local media was our interview
with magazine Elegance
most interesting. Photographer Maarten Corbijn, also known as Corbino,
is famous for his photos of Tina Turner, Dolly Parton and Marco Borsato.
This time he travelled to Leiden for POPA. In gallery the Kunstpoort
a POPA-wall was created to serve as background for the photoshoot. The
five pages long interview will be in Elegance of April.

meets BRIELS
The opening of the Clemens
Briels exhibition in gallery NU
(NOW) was quite an experience. Briels just returned from an exhibition
in America, especially for this occasion. POPA has had contact with Briels
before, about POPA amongst other items. This was the first time they actually
met each other. He showed a lot of interest in POPA and a future co-operation
could be possible. It was great meeting him and some great pictures were
made of this meeting.
Artworkshop
De Weerklank
February the 23th POPA had a workshop at De
Weerklank. This is a Christian school in Leiden for children with
vocal- and hearing disabilities. This day we painted with the children
on canvas with acrylics, and we established to create a lot of Positive
Passion! The result will be shown at the school exhibition and at the
photos of our website.
Asia-action
In February we had our Asia Action. 50% of the salesprice was donated
to Asia (in stead of the usual 10%). We have collected an interesting
amount of money for Asia. Thank you for your contributions!
Positivity
Since we started POPA, we have had many enthusiastic, positive reactions
from individuals, organizations and companies! There were even some people
who wanted to contribute in their own way. Action leads to reaction, and
that's what we want!
