these exhibitions she has had many publications in (international)
newspapers and magazines.
She has made bookcovers for the GLB-publisher and has done assignments
for different international companies. Besides art, she also has an

was designed by her). Her style can be described as surrealistic,
colorful and naïve. The art for children exists of: handpainted
furniture, mirrors, toys, toy-boxes, personal paintings etc.
In Barbara's art you can decide the colours, theme and other things
like names, in the painted object or painting. This way you can create
the most original and personal gift for your child or loved one. Have
a look at her site; www.barbaravandruten.nl,
to view most of her work and to find more information about her.
A quote of Kofi Annan; '...artists have a special role to play in
the global struggle for peace. At their best, artists speak not only
to people; they speak for them. Art is a weapon against ignorance
and hatred and an agent of public awareness...' |
